On an undeveloped lot of a prime real estate area close to Kurfürstendamm and Ludwigkirchplatz a building with condominiums is being developed. The building is a solitaire within its urban context of city blocks. Townhouses with a private garden are located on the ground floor and the first floor of the six-story building. On the floors above all apartments are designed as loft spaces. The size of the units ranges from 150 to 300 square meters. The design of the facade and the building cubature reflect the various unit types. The townhouses are located as two cubes made of fairfaced concrete on both sides of the central stairwell. On top of those two cubes sits another larger cube that houses the loft-apartments. The cubes open up towards the street and the inside of the block. The elegant and dynamic interior of the building is characterized by white horizontal ceiling lines and large-scale windows. The ceiling lines and the large-scale windows protrude and step back in reverse order from the facade in an elegant manner and as a result loggias are being formed which provide the lofts with exciting spaces on the exterior. The sleeping quarters of the units are oriented towards the courtyard and the generous living quarters with kitchen, living room and dining area are facing the street. Because of the close proximity to the neighbouring buildings the side-façades with secondary rooms have narrow window slots cut into the concrete cube.
